FRANCE

According to the Hands Around the World book (1951) the Girl Guide program in FRANCE started as part of the YWCA, but in 1920 separated into two distinct groups; Les Guides du France for Roman Catholic girls, and the Federation of Francaise des Eclaireuses, for girls of all faiths and usually formed in schools. Both of these organizations are under the French Scouting organization called Scoutisme Francais, along with Boy Scouting.
Today, the Girl Guide program has 4 separate programs; one for Jewish (co-ed), one for Unionists (co-ed and single sexed programs) as well as the two mentioned above. The Eclaireuses is now co-ed, but the Guides du France remains girls only.

Info submitted by Angie shows a very similar pin in the 1951 WAGGGS book, Hands Around the World, as being Les Guides de France tenderfoot pin.

This pin, by the same information, is a vintage tenderfoot pin for the Federation Francaise Des Eclaireuses, the other Girl Guide program that was usually found in schools and open to girls of all faiths.
