Nutty Girl Scouts

Putting a date on those old, vintage Girl Scout nut tins can be a challenge. Maybe this page can help.

The 1950's though the 1970's seemed to be the "hey-day" for tins with the Girl Scout logo on them. Mostly they were metal printed tins, but sometimes paper labels were used. Fisher's Peanuts was the late comer around 1978 and didn't seem to last too long.

Just a guess, but judging by the design on the can, this may have been in honor of the Bicentennial in 1976.
