Also by Eleanor Thomas...

It's a fictional story of the very real Western Hemisphere Camp held in August 1941 in Bonnie Brae, MA.
This book was sold in the GS catalog.

Edith Ballinger Price (1897-1997) was a prolific author and poet.
As noted on the cover, this was part of The Way of Life Series, but I can't find any other information about that series.

Wings of Courage was sold through the GS catalog.

This version was sold for many years in the GS catalogs. The original story is from 1870's.

This painting of the young lady is also on the cover of the American Girl magazine, April 1950. It was part of an essay contest called "Typical American Girl."

Books could be written about this remarkable woman, Mildred Augustine Wirt Benson who wrote (in secret) the Nancy Drew series and several other series. AP Photo.
