Often mistakenly called SILK pins, these rayon pins from 1943 were for unofficial wear. They are difficult to find in good condition because the metal backings often rusted, the rayon snagged or wore thin and the colors faded over time.

Brownie Scatter Pin

1966-1985

Before the Daisy Girl Scout program was officially launched in 1984, Girl Scouting ran testing programs for this age group in many areas. Donna Crowe of Fenton, Missouri reports that their group used this pin as a membership pin for the "Pixie" testing group of 1st graders at Our Savior Lutheran School. The pin was sold through NES as an unofficial pin for 30 cents.

This pin was sold in a version without the orange accent paint. It was sold pre-1966 in a set with a bracelet with a dancing elf pendant and a second matching scatter pin.
