The 135 acre
wooded land across from the Macy Center in New York, was donated to Girl
Scouts in memory of Andree Clark, by her parents Senator
William and Mrs. Clark in 1920. The site was used to develop new programs for
Senior Girl Scouts.
In 1937, the
Silver Jubilee was held there. Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from all around the
world attended. A special pin was designed for the event - shown below.
For awhile
the camp was used as a council camp, but in 1979 it once again became a
national Girl Scout site. Adults and girls from all over attend programs at
Camp Andree Clark.

For the 25th Anniversary of Girl Scouting the first International Camp
was held at Camp Andree Clark. Members from 26 countries came together
at this Silver Jubilee event. This pin is from that event.
Shirley Taylor of Tacoma,
Washington attended this camp and was voted by Life Magazine reporters
covering the event as the "Prettiest Girl Scout of them all".
